Summary:In order to pursue different performance effects, clarinet players and clarinet manufacturers choose clarinet bodies of different materials to improve the performance of Clarinet and play different sound effects and timbres. Many materials have gradually declined in the history of clarinet development, and many materials have been handed down since the 19th century. This paper studies and compares clarinet bodies of different materials through acoustic instrument discrimination method and human ear discrimination experiment. On the one hand, from a professional and objective point of view to prove the differences in the performance of wooden, resin and metal clarinet bodies; On the other hand, from a subjective point of view, explore the degree of human ear perception of timbre, and synthesize the two experimental conclusions to obtain an objective point of view.
