| Summary: | Girard invites us to understand the laws of mimesis as the only mechanism to avoid falling into rivalry and to be able to identify with the other. Although archaic prohibitions, through myths and religions, managed to stop the escalation that led us to the apocalypse, the subsequent sacralization of the "I" and the elimination of these prohibitions in modern times, once again leave us exposed. Education, on the other hand, has not provided the necessary tools to recognize mimesis, while the current context has only managed to exasperate a mimetic behavior. The purpose of this work is to find between the lines of the text "Mentira romántica y verdad novelesca" of this French philosopher, a possible proposal on how to get out of this crossroad, finding a middle point between prohibition and education, in that space of reflection, of introspection, in the which it is possible to understand not only the laws of mimesis, but most importantly: the Other. |
