| Summary: | Llull consideraba la música como uno de los instrumentos a utilizar en la conversión de los infieles en virtud de los interlocutores escogidos para su evangelización: los sufíes. Inventó un nuevo método pedagógico, como antes había hecho Guido de Arezzo, utilizando también la llamada "mano guidoniana". Se han formulado varias hipótesis sobre el motivo por el que eligió a los místicos del Islam, entre ellas los textos de Ibn al-Arabi y Gialal al-Din Rumi y las teorías sobre la música de al-Ghazali. Llull considered music to be one of the means to be used for the conversion of the infidels, and this because of the interlocutors he chose to evangelize: the Sufis. He invented a new pedagogical method, as already done before by Guy of Arezzo, making use, too, of the so-called "Guidonian hand". Concerning his reason for choosing to address those mystics of Islam, there have been several hypotheses, referencing also texts of Ibn al-Arabi and of Gialal al-Din Rumi and the theories of music of al-Ghazali. |
