Description
Summary:This article describes some of the ways the author, as a Chinese American Christian psychologist and pastor, has been involved in the integration of psychology and theology generally, and more specifically within Asian American contexts, over more than 40 years. It briefly includes the author’s work in the general area of psychology and clinical psychology, and especially in counseling and psychotherapy, and then focuses specifically on his integration work in Asian American contexts in the following areas: publications, teaching, mentoring of doctoral students (PhD and PsyD in Clinical Psychology) and younger faculty (at Fuller and elsewhere), and pastoral ministry. It concludes with several lessons learned and reflections with a biblical perspective, from over 40 years of involvement in the integration of psychology and theology within Asian American contexts.
