Um eine friedliche Koexistenz der Vielzahl der in Indien vertretenen Religionen zu erreichen und zu gewährleisten, wurde in der indischen Verfassung die Trennung von Staat und Religion festgelegt. Ira Das untersucht, inwieweit religiöse Fragen dennoch die Gesetzgebung beeinflussen und geht hier besonders auf Fragen der fortbestehenden Diskriminierungen durch das hinduistische Kastensystem sowie auf das Familien- und Erbrecht ein. |
