The stimulating book examines important issues and crucial questions faced by Christian churches and missions. The essays cover a wide range of topics in Adventist studies, biblical theology, Christian ethics, educational and administrative themes, as well as missiology. Professor Dr. Peter P. J. Beyerhaus' contribution opens the collection of essays - he was Paulsen's Doktorvater when he received his doctoral degree from the University of Tübingen. Each author has-at one time or another-been Dr. Paulsen's teacher, student or fellow-minister in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Together with about one thousand other colleagues and friends they want in this way to honour and thank Jan Paulsen for his long and outstanding services in his church. A special feature in the book is the Congratulatory List with more than 900 hundred names of colleagues and friends from around the world who have expressed their desire to also send their best wishes to the person to whom this Festschrift is dedicated.
