Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:Matthias Klinghardt is convinced that the canonical Gospel of Luke is a revised edition of Marcion’s Gospel. He also thinks that Marcion’s Gospel was translated into Latin before mid-2d century and that this translation is the origin of the first Latin version of Luke. Consequently, he considers singular readings of the Old Latin text as an additional source for the reconstruction of Marcion’s Gospel, next to Tertullian, Epiphanius and the Adamantius Dialogue. However, there is no evidence for the existence of a Latin translation of Marcion’s Gospel or even of the New Testament Gospels (and other Biblical writings) before the turn of the 2d to the 3d century. As well it must be noted that features of the Old Latin version(s) which Klinghardt considers as traces of Marcion’s Gospel (e.g. additions to the text, Western Non-Interpolations, synoptical harmonizations) are not limited to those passages of Luke that have been or may have been part of Marcion’s Gospel, but can be found also in those passages definitely not included.
