| Summary: | The research on Luther developed in Finland starting in 70s of the 19th century on impulse of the theologian from Helsinki Tuomo Mannermaa (1934-) wishes to offer a significant contribution – though not without problematic elements – to the comprehension of the «salvation in Christ» in a historical-dogmatic, ecumenical, and systematic key. It has mainly tried to reveal the compatibility and at times the complimentarily between the categories of justification through faith and divinization (theosis) in the work of the reformer from Wittenberg and to propose anew to Lutherans, Russian Orthodox and Roman Catholics the up-to-dateness of an ontology. |
