Résumé: | The present study engages with seven deities whose veneration and cults appear to have been practiced, even if in a limited way and not widespread, in the cities of the Decapolis during the Roman period: the Dioskouroi, Eros, Hades/ Pluto, Hera, Kronos, Nemesis and Tyche. The various artistic media and findings (architecure, sculpture, epigraphy, numismatics, gems and a mosaic floor) suggest that the veneration and cults of these deities existed in both the private and public (urban) spheres in the Decapolis. |
