| Résumé: | Modern Ukraine, together with the countries of the Balkan Peninsula, belongs to a group of European countries that have their own indigenous Muslim population. Islam in Ukraine has more than a thousand years of history. The first Muslims who systematically lived or roamed the lands of present-day Ukraine were the steppes (the burial of the Ossetian-Alan ancestors according to the Muslim rite archeologists date to the 7th-8th centuries). Its carriers are the Volga and Crimean Tatars (now 57% of the total number of Muslims in Ukraine), representatives of the Caucasian-Biberian language group, small diasporic associations of other Turkic-speaking peoples, and some ethnic Ukrainians, Belarussians and Russians. Сучасна Україна разом з країнами Балканського півострова належить до групи європейських країн, які мають власне корінне мусульманське населення. Іслам на теренах України нараховує понад тисячолітню історію. Першими мусульманами, які систематично жили або кочували землями нинішньої України, були степовики (поховання пращурів осетинів-алан за мусульманським обрядом археологи датують VІІ-VІІІ століттями). Його носіями є волзькі й кримські татари (нині 57% від загальної чисельності мусульман України), представники кавказькоіберійської мовної групи, невеликі діаспорні об‘єднання інших тюркомовних народів та деякі етнічні українці, білоруси і росіяни. |
