| Summary: | During the years of political instability in Argentina and in a democratic three-year period (1963-66), the young Christian Democrat representative Carlos Auyero submitted drafts in the legislature of the province of Buenos Aires that sought to redistribute wealth and reflected the social worlds to which he belonged, as well as the ideas on which they were based. This analysis recovers how his Catholic formation and sociability, his formal secular education, and his initial participation in the party committee of a section of the suburbs merged with the international transformations in the Catholic Church and the growing ideological paradigms, among them the developmentalist and revolutionary, to give an account of his creative appropriations during the first years of his political career. |
