Résumé:This article is concerned with the teaching of sensitive topics related to religious markers in the Quebec Ethics and Religious Culture curricula through analysis of their treatment in the manuals and workbooks attached to the curriculum. Although the curriculum only rarely recognises the sensitive nature of these topics, teachers tend to avoid them for classroom discussions could get out of hand. How much support do the manuals give teachers in their preparation?
