| Summary: | O presente artigo consiste em uma tentativa de interpretar a história de Adão e Eva tomando por base o seu contexto textual imediato (o conto P -ou "sacerdotar -da criação e a história de Caim e Abel) e o seu contexto mais amplo (as idéias-chave da Bíblia Hebraica). Tal metodologia permite identificar rapidamente aquilo que importa temática e logicamente na história, levando assim a uma nova interpretação e refutando também vários erros interpretativos tradicionais. This article is an attempt to interpret the story of Adam and Eve in the light both of its immediate textual context (the P - "Priestly" - creation story and the story of Cain and Abel) and of its larger context (the key concepts of the Hebrew Bible). This approach enables the reader to identify quickly what is thematically and logically important in the story, leads to a fresh interpretation and refutes a number of traditional misreadings of the texto |
